FOOD PANTRY SUNDAY is Sunday, September 5th. Bring canned food or dry food items, or paper products, to put in the box in the foyer. You may also make a cash donation using the small brown pew envelopes. With unemployment and rising gas and food prices, the Food Pantry is a lifeline for many Hancock County families. Because of the current economic situation, many families are finding it difficult to take care of pets as well. Please consider donating cat and dog food as part of the pantry collection at this time. Thank you for all of your generous monthly contributions.
We encourage you to join us in the sanctuary every first Sunday of the month, at 4:00 p.m. for the First@Four prayer service. If you cannot get out to church for the prayer time, please take the same time at home to pray. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the First@Four service will be held on Sunday, September 12th.
Trinity Park United Methodist Church is getting ready for a big weekend celebrating their 125th anniversary. A fish fry is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the ministry center on the south side of the church building. An $8 meal deal that includes a sandwich, two sides, dessert and drink is available as well as an ala carte menu. Proceeds from the fish fry will benefit local community service projects. The celebration continues on Sunday, August 29th with regularly scheduled worship services at 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. with a brunch to be held between services. Former members of the church are encouraged to join in the celebration. Everyone in the community is invited to attend the events scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Men's Breakfast group meets at Carol's Cornerstone Cafe on Main Street in Greenfield each Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Men of all ages are welcome to attend for fellowship and a hearty breakfast. For more information, contact the church office.
Recycling ~ At the Welcome Center, there is a box for recycling inkjet cartridges from printers made by Lexmark, Compaq, Canon and Hewlett-Packard. Please no Epson cartridges. Laser printer cartridges cannot be recycled here. Trinity Park will receive a small compensation for each cartridge and the money will be used for mission projects. Aluminum cans may be recycled in Gibbs Hall. Proceeds from the collection helps support our youth group. Pop can tabs are collected for the Ronald McDonald House in a separate container. Bulletins, newsletters and other office paper may be recycled in the labeled wood bin in the coat area of the foyer. Thanks for your support and being a good steward of God's resources.
Remember to submit your Campbell's soup labels for McCurdy School
in New Mexico and Henderson Settlement in Kentucky to the church
office. Labels from Franco-American, Pace, Prego, Swanson, V-8
and Pepperidge Farms products are also accepted.

- so prayerfully consider this opportunity.
