Help Our Future Ministry Center !!
After years of planning and preparation, a new phase in the life of our building project has begun. The plans with McKnight have been discontinued and a new builder has been chosen, John Sproles Construction of New Castle. We have visited several of his projects and have recieved numerous positive comments about his work. The good news is that cost of the project will be substantially less that previously planned without making any sacrifices in the construction of the facility. Please contact any member of the building committee for more information on this exciting time in the life of the building project.
Update
The construction has begun!! Keep up-to-date on the work through our new construction blog. Mike and Phil will be keeping us updated on the latest happenings around the church through the new blog. To find out what's happening at Trinity Park check out the construction progress blog.
Last week, the Building Committee met and decided to:
- add a window in the upstairs youth room, as well as one in the narthex,
- have the masons add a cross made of stone on the east end of the building,
- amend the original lighting plans for the ministry center, which will provide more lighting flexibility for different functions (all at the same estimated cost.),
- and awarded the HVAC contract
We also viewed some exciting ideas for the new welcome center and cafe area in the
new narthex.
Hope you all will take time on a Sunday morning to look through the addition and pray
that you will be visualizing the possibilities for its use.
How can I help?
-
First, Pray for God's Guidance
-
Continue your financial commitment to the project. This is still an expensive effort, despite the lower cost, that will require us all to give as much as God leads us.
- Finally, stay positive. Things that God blesses happen in His time not ours.
Gibbs Hall Project
Saturday, July 26th, the Gibbs Hall Re-use Committee met to discuss ideas to bring to the Church Council on possible future uses for Gibbs Hall. The committee looked through data that had been gathered from previous building studies and congregational surveys from 1999 and 2004. Several ideas were considered and discussed. The discussion at that meeting will be presented at the August Church Council meeting.
